Adams Lake is a large lake connected to the Shuswap Lake system via the Adams River. Named after a Shuswap First Nations chief who was baptised 'Adam'.

Camping is available at Adams Lake Provincial Park on the west side of the lake. Visit Roderick Haig-Brown Provincial Park for the annual Sockeye Salmon Run, running the length of the Adams River at the south end of Adams Lake. At the north end of Adams Lake, the Upper Adams River Provincial Park runs the length of the Upper Adams River which empties into Adams Lake.
