Adams
Lake is a large lake connected to the Shuswap Lake system via
the Adams River. Named after a Shuswap First Nations chief who
was baptised 'Adam'.
Camping
is available at Adams Lake Provincial Park on the west side of
the lake. Visit Roderick Haig-Brown Provincial Park for the annual
Sockeye Salmon Run, running the length of the Adams River at the
south end of Adams Lake. At the north end of Adams Lake, the Upper
Adams River Provincial Park runs the length of the Upper Adams
River which empties into Adams Lake.
