Located
at the end of Seymour Arm of Shuswap Lake, with 1300 residents,
the town of Seymour Arm was once the gateway to the Columbia River
Region during the Big Bend Gold Rush of 1865.
Today,
all that remains of the once thriving settlement is a hotel and
restaurant. A campground, floating store and several cabins provide
recreational opportunities for those wishing to stay at this remote
and pristine end of Shuswap Lake.
