Peaks provides the ultimate year-round recreation destination
in the Thompson Okanagan. Nestled between three mountains, Sun
Peaks truly offers visitors the ultimate ski experience from alpine
bowls brimming with fresh powder to a Tirolean- inspired ski village.
During the summer visitors can enjoy a round of golf, and a host
of tours including everything from guided canoe trips and fishing
excursions, to Hummer tours to the 'top of the world'.
Boasting
3678 acres of skiable terrain, and 881m of vertical, Sun Peaks
has the second largest area of skiable terrain in BC, and the
greatest vertical in B.C.'s interior. With downhill runs as long
as 8km, slope style courses and kids terrain areas, there is something
for everyone. Cross-country skiiers can take advantage of 40km
of cross-country trails. With 559cm of powder annually, and over
2000 hours of sunshine, the name says it all.
During
the summer months, visitors to Sun Peaks can take advantage of
the many tours offered, including voyageur canoe trips, fishing
excursions, and Hummer tours. In the village, enjoy a spa treatment
or horse-drawn carriage rides throughout the village.
For
the wine connoisseur, Sun Peaks plays host the annual Ice Wine
festival each January.
